Hi all, just joined ffrr as I'm looking for a solution to an issue with my RRsport TDV8 10MY. After being left out in heavy rain recently, on two separate ocasions, the speakers have gone crazy, clicking and popping from all speakers, but only when the car is moving. Does'nt happen if the car is static, and still does it if the sound system is turned off. Took it to the local dealer who did'nt have a clue, they contacted JLR who suggested an upgrde to the amp software,...?? did this a week ago but has'nt been out in the rain since so not conclusive. Even tried contacting some of my old JLR colleagues, but no reply as yet. Has anyone else experienced similar problems, or any sugestions as to the cause?

I think I detect a note of distain here, maybe it's because I erred and thought the "fullfat" referred to the drivers of Vogue's, not the car, which I supose is OK if you like driving something with 11 year old architecture and underpinings. But hey, if you like plodding around in what is basically a rebodied, wallowy Bmer M5, who am I to argue...!

Hmm, never thought of putting a 4x4 body on an M5, mayber if you meant X5 you'd be in with a shout!

Yes, I did mean X5, doh. And I did'nt see, nor do I now expect any advice from what appears to be a bigoted collection of RR Vogue owners. Prove me wrong...!

I think the reason Scary pointed you towards the RRS form was because the FFRR and the RRS are fundamentaly different cars and any advice you got from here would naturally be FFRR centric. as this is an FFRR forum and not a RRS forum.

Maybe if you were somewhat less hostile and a bit more accepting of these facts, someone would have been willing to "prove you wrong", but I'm not seeing a queue forming!  Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Maybe I jumped the gun so to speak and no pun intended when I posted the image of a firing squad.....That was wrong, so very wrong because shooting would be too quick. I believe a good lynching might have been more appropriate and a little slower than a bullet

Yes, I'm aware the cars are on different platforms, after all, I am a retired JLR engineer, but my mistake was not realising that the "FullFat" referred sprcifically to Vogue's, and that there is so much... I don't know if it's hostility or just envy, from Vogue owners. I do appreciate SCARY pointing me to the right forum, and your comments above, but it wasn't me who started the hostility, it was 47p2, who is so brave he does'nt even want to use his real name..!
