Couple of Questions

Probably been done before but i wanted to double check...

1) Has anyone managed to get their contacts list, SMS data etc to appear on the nav screen via bluetooth? Is this functionality only available via a docking cradle? If so i take it there is no solution for iPhone 4 on this?

My car is a 2006 FFSC

2) Is there any way to anster calls from the steering wheel rather than having to press the nav screen?

What phone is it? it has to be compatible. A forum member named Wiggs can sell you an updated bluetooth module which will be compatible with most contemporary phones, such as iPhone. For me it was a waste of time because you can still only transfer 300 contacts, which meant it was a little random as to which of mine transferred. Otherwise it's a great fix for not much money.

Do a search on bluetooth module and you'll find plenty of info! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

I got (from a very generous) forum member 'the doc' a 2007 BT module and I've had a 3GS and two simultaneous IP4s (home and work) and they all worked flawlessly.

Though as per the previous I'm med to believe if you ask Wiggs ideally for a 2010 module this is the best overall.

Good luck! Thumbs Up

Also foe answering calls is pressing the nav unit the only way?

Think the 2010 unit is around £120-130 though I suppose it may depend on availability. The other as an exchange unit was about half; Though again could have gone up.

You can press the voice control button on the steering wheel to answer and end calls. Not sure if it matters which mode you are in (radio/tel button is next to it anyhow)

Huh? I was not aware that there were different switches avail for the right side of the steering wheel.

Left has either the heated steering wheel or the recirculate air button (what a great idea that was: hey what do we do with cars that won't have heated steering? Uhhh Idunno. Gotta do something that wont make those cars seem better. Howbout we make the button recirculate air?

I thought all right side switches were the same from 2002-09.

So you don't have the bottom button on the right (also known as 'the sneezing man')?

No, the steering wheel buttons should work just fine with bluetooth only. There is no cradle avail for 99% of the phones on the market. And the cradle only does charging if it's not the old Siemns BitII phone..
