No probs.

LPG will probably be the gas pressure sensor telling the ECU it has no gas (It senses pressure i the line and if the pressure is low it will tell you to switch back to petrol (Had that with my P38)

Header tank. Unfortunately is probably "one of those things" as BMW's also suffer with creacked header tanks and radiators due to age.

Flat battery. My mate just had a similar problem on his 02. Kept setting the alarm off at 4am! Turned out to be a faulty nav unit in the boot not "going to sleep" and flattening the battery. Disconnected and all now fine.
He replaced with a used unit from the bay. £75!

FSR - Sorry I'm being thick! What's that?

CD - Again a known problem. Could be dirty or in need of a service. Also could be water ingress if you have the documented nsr leak. If you have a multi plug there it could also be your ignition light problem. Had similar on a 406 with can bus. Turned out to be a wet control board in the CD player! Siliconed the rear lights (Gap), replaced CD never had the problem again!

Not saying these are the problems, but could help along the way Thumbs Up

Dont give up, remember, being a used car you dont know it's past. If bought from a dealer they will have to sort within the first three months (I'm sure I'll be corrected if wrong).

Once sorted you'll love it! Thumbs Up 08 model TDV8 Vogue SE Rimini Red/ parchment. 04 TD6 Vogue Oslo Blue / parchment

thanks ray just need some help to put this right and have some faith in it again

FSR =final stage resistor which loads of people seem to have had which i will change this week.

lpg going to be serviced this week so that should sort that problem out fingers crossed

just hate it when i look after my cars and they run perfect and then i get a car which is full of problems and i have to sort out all i want to do is turn the key and drive and enjoy the car not feel as if its gonna let me down every time i turn the key

this is the main thing i need to solve so any more thoughts would be appreciated Thumbs Up

2nd: turn the car off and take key out and radio and dash light stay on. when you put the key back in you cant turn the key. have to disconnect the battery and reconnect for it to reset itself

No one ever said a good marriage was easy! Lol
The batt drain and FSR are probably linked so sorting the FSR should sort the batt drain.
The header tank I just a fact of life. There BMW Censored so replace and don't stress.
LPG could be a number of things from a poorly fitted kit to s sensor. A good LPG fitter should be able to sort it.
The nav playing up could be ALOT of things but check for water in the rear compartment. The L322 suffers from a leak from the rear 3/4 causing poor connections to the electrical gear. Run the car with the AC on all the time or Dan will hint you down! Lol
The CD is crap. Check the draws are moving by opening the loading cover. The alpine changer suffers from draws sticking. Mine was stuck with tray 5 in the cd area. If I had my choice I would remove it ant fit an intrvee. Far better useof space etc.
Have faith in the old girl! You look after her and treat her well and she will come good! All she wants is to know she's loved and she will help you out!

Edit: the key problem could be from the selector. Might be worth spraying the linkage with WD40. If she isn't in park you won't get the key back or turn the key. Next time try wiggling he gear shifter while trying to turn the key. I've had issues before where I couldn't get the key out but had forgotten to put it in park. Doh! [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

The water leak can be fixed but you need to find the source. Landrovers fix was a "water sheader". Aka a plastic bag. Have a search there is loads on it. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

wow, you seemed to have had your share of probs.as said the header tank is quite a common prob so its done and out of the way..fsr is common as well,so thats done... try disconnecting the nav and tv unit in the boot, blue and white plugs on the both units, see if this stops the staying on issue.. the lpg may need a service, did you buy it from a dealer..
if you have found water damage in the rear then thats were your probs are.... V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

have you check your spare wheel well, see if water has collected there, how about condensation, have you found it on the inside.. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Thumbs Up Hi davo

Thanks for your input I've not had any condensation in the back and everything seems dry there looks like there is dry water stains on some parts of the rear where the nav and stuff are. Thinking about it now I've had my car jet washed twice and both times is when this problem has happen the first was in the car wash and now this time which was 2 days later. Is there any way of ripping out all that stuff and putting a 3rd party stuff in as I think it looks dated and don't even play mp3,s. I'm gonna take a day off this week and get some bits sorted lpg and fsr so that will be a start. If the nav and stuff are getting wet is there a link to show me how to put that cover in

As for the spare wheel there isn't 1 as the gas tank is there which is dry

The worst part about all of this is the embarrassment when you are stuck in a car wash or your friends come round to have a look and it want start and they give you funny looks like you bought this car and it doesn't even start
