I did the Lille market a couple of years back. It is ok but a lot smaller than I was expecting. The market was mostly amusement rides, a handful of stalls selling Christmas decorations and quite a few food stalls. The good thing about Lille is that, being a large city, there is plenty of accommodation. If you have been to Lille before, I would skip the Christmas market.

according to my readings on the interweb, the brussells one is the biggest with 240 stalls? and the lille and bruges ones have 50/80 stalls so not very big....the strasburg one looks very inviting but its a bit of a slog to get there.. ... - .- -.

I've been to the Brugge Xmas markets a number of times and the stalls are not very good at all.
