In which case, all you need is the Bluetooth ULF Module.

If you search eBay for BMW Bluetooth ULF you will have plenty of results. Perhaps someone else on the forum can clarify exactly which ones will fit. But generally any from the early X5's will fit...

Dan/Steve

I'm totally confused now Laughing
I have 2005 with touch screen.
I have the nokia phone module fixed with one screw in the boot enclosure at the top.

I have phone prep in the centre console.

BUT no phone can find the car.

Are you saying that I need a Bluetooth module in addition to the nokia one I already have.

Two indies and one main dealer can't work it out!

Bluetooth on the early models is easy - as Dan says - but don't just plug the module in: you need to re-pin the plug to the module. And you don't need to have the bitII phone in the car: many came with a phone prep (look for a harness with a large white 10-pin spade connector and a similarly sized black 54-pin connector in the boot under the nav drive). If worst comes to worst, the harness can be retrofitted for about GBP150.

Come back and ask once you've bought a RR for specific help.

Steve for my 2002 V8 , what they called première édition in france as it was loaded with everything , i have the OEM phone .. Will I need BMW ULF 84.21 6 934552 02 or 84.21 6-931854 01 ???? .
Both are available today , one in Gy one is Austria and i don't know what to buy .
your help will be appreciated

Jaybear - neither of those part numbers is really good: the first is a 1st Gen ULF (really old) and will probably have connectivity issues with most modern phones and the second is not a normal ULF part#.

Heres a list from http://www.bimmernav.com/ulfchanges.html

Available part numbers of the Bluetooth ULF from BMW

84 21 6 934 552 end of life 06/03 1st generation
84 21 6 938 610 end of life 10/03 2nd generation
84 21 6 934 961 end of life 03/04 3rd generation
84 21 6 950 089 end of life 06/04 4th generation
84 21 6 945 387 end of life 01/05 5th generation
84 10 6 955 522 end of life 10/05 6th generation
84 10 6 969 268 end of life 04/06 7th generation
84 21 6 958 358 end of life 05/06 8th generation
84 10 6 987 546 end of life 9/06 9th generation
84 10 6 980 130 end of life 11/06 10th generation
84 10 9 133 329 end of life 01/07 11th generation
84 10 9 145 007 end of life 05/07 12th generation
84 10 9 154 358 current production 13th generation

You really want a 13th gen - tho in my experience 8th gen onwards works quite well with iPhones including contacts, etc.

Do NOT connect without an adapter loom or re-pinning the large 54-pin plug to the ULF. Post again if you need more info. Or do a search here. Ajay(UK) posted good info IIRC.

EDIT: I just googled the second part# and it comes up as an ULF (I always assumed the above list was pretty complete Neutral ) but it's dated 2003 - so it's old as well. Look for a newer unit. Gen13's go for around €300-€350.

Hi Paul,
The 'phone prep' is just a charging wire for the cradle that LR had avail back then (with like 4 phones to choose from... Rolling Eyes ).
You'll likely need a new BT module (the touchscreen vehicles are different than the earlier models). There are threads on the Nokia BT module here in the forum.

I couldn't find a pic on a quick search - basically just a female 54-pin connector and a male with a short bit of wiring in between. Re-pinning yields the same result for free.

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Java Black

Hi, I got my iPhone to connect to the built in Bluetooth, but it doesn't show contacts. My indie thinks I cannot update the software to show them. Is this true? Or will a stealer be able to update it? Mine is a 2005 touchscreen.

Hey guys - I;m sure I've asked before but need to do this now.

I have a 54 plate Vogue with phone prep I believe( big white and black spare plugs in the rear ) but no phone holder in the arm rest. What would I need to get for full hands free in the car (bluetooth).

Is it the 13th Gen UKF module plus re pinning (or adapter ) loom.? I don;t think I have a pairing button but do have the R/T switch on the steering wheel.?

Thanks in advance
