Car is shacking at idle !!!

Weird behaviour from my 2002 TD6. At idle the car is shacking while in "N", and it gets a bit worst in "D" but only at idle.
In "D" at idle it shakes and if take out the brake pedal it goes but in a weird manner not smoth at all for the first meters and then it gets normal while at speed.

What can it be???? J.Seven

One of 6 injectors have failed, g/teed!! Have had this problem before, local indy charged me around £400 to replace with a new one Thumbs Up Although, he did say when one goes the others normally do........and mine is starting to show symptoms again Censored

TIP - whoever does it, get your old one back, you can have them refurbed for a fraction of the price of a newun Thumbs Up

Today in the morning while engine was cold everything was normal, no shacking at all, after the engine warmed up it start shacking again at idle. I'm 300km away from home, is it safe to make the trip back home with this problem? J.Seven

You haven't just put larger wheels on your TD6 have you (i.e. bigger than 18")?

I was going to suggest wheels too. I took my Overfinch 22" ones off and now have a set of 2010/11 wheels on standard size and don't have the judder anymore. Thumbs Up 2006 MY Autobiography. With 'toys'

its intermittent, just like mines doing at the moment. You will probably find if you put some injector cleaner in, it may well be ok for a short while, but it will cme back. Another symptom of faulty injectors is a strong smell of deisel upon start up in the morning

If you can get it fault read, that should tell you for definite Thumbs Up
