Do those ones need to have the rails permanently fitted or are they removable ? |

You fit the rails to the roof and leave them on.

I think it worth noting that the rails are quite "tall" and change the floating roof profile somewhat. I would only fit them if I was going to use the cross-bars on a regular basis. |

You don't need to fit the lengthwise rails - there are "Sport" bars that also locate directly into the same fittings in the roof and the cross bars you have look just like them. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes |

Sounds interesting but to use the roof fitments you have to remove the flush factory rails so if crossbars where fitted you would surely have two exposed grooves where the rails should be? ![]() |

Whats wrong with getting a trailer and pulling the kit behind you, even in bad weather it would be better traction wise than having more wieght up top making the car more unstable??

I have the roof rails fitted so as not to scratch my roof when the garage door blows down in bad weather when im reversing my car in!!! Works a treat! |

It does igore, But this particular Vogue also includes a wife that packs loads and loads of things ![]() So simply no space to have four pair of skis in the car. |
