United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Orkney Grey

i know it's taken me a while to get round to this, but i thought today is the day.

i decided to strip the boot spoiler off to make access easier. three 10mm bolts a quick tug and off she comes.

i lifted the end cap and it was all cruddy in there, we have seriously hard water oop north!!

quick wipe around a poke of the jets with a pin, they were blocked too and away we go, water everywhere.

job done, thanks for all the hints and tips along the way. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

Mine has also blocked up, so I will have a go at unblocking it next weekend. Do you need to take the interior trim off to get access to the boot spoiler bolts?

when you lift the upper part of the tail gate and look up to the metal area at the top you will see three 10mm bolt heads, left, right and centre.

undo these, they are quite short. pull the spoiler rearwards, it will be quite stiff. it is held in place on two rubber bungs and they engage in key slots on the spoiler, so fitting is easy and will get you back in near enough the same place. i used a fine marker pen and drew around the washers so i got things exactly back where they came from.

the only thing to be carful of is the spoiler has wires in it for the brake light and they are quite short in length. i put an old sheet on the roof and when the spoiler was removed, laid it on the roof at such and angle as to not pull the wires.

the interior trim only needs to be removed if you neeg to get access to the motor. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

I removed the spoiler and the wiper arm then confirmed the non return valve was not blocked by operating the rear screen wash. It was fine so I set about clearing the nozzles with a needle. All sorted now Very Happy

Thanks for your help Thumbs Up
