Threat for Facebook users

Have to say i do not do Facebook but the wife does and she got a message from one of her friends ( a real one ) Question Anyhow the message was that if she receives an "INVITATION" from Facebook in the next couple of days not to open it as it is a serious Virus that will either Burn or Wipe out you C drive . so best just to Delete it

Whether it's true or not i do not know as i said i do not do Facebook

Thought i would post on the off chance just in case it's Legit Thumbs Up ====================================

"Open Mike Night " sounded like a lot of fun until i found out i was going to an Autopsy

Seriously though, I wish people would stop installing all the apps.

When you install/accept a facebook app, one of the things you accept is that it has access to your address book, e-mail account and any passwords you've entered into the system.

This is now why you get those one line spam e-mails from people you know. Because they installed an app and didn't read the small print.

best bet is some kind of Phishing stuff, so it can steal your username and password (don't ask me why they do it, but from what I've seen, mostly for in-game credits Shocked ) 2000 BMW M5, Avus Blue/LeMans Leather Interior

facebook, hate the Censored thing! responsible for more 21st century misery than anal piles! sorry, but I have true friends, who I know personally, get on well with and are like minded, not because some lonely tosser with a popularity complex and an app on his Iphone decided to add me to their pathetic list of so called "friends" who they have never even met, never mind spoken to.

I think that's possibly a little harsh! I use Facebook, I use it to keep in touch with people who I otherwise wouldnt.

I don't limit my friendships to facebook, but it's a great way to maintain a contact list. I move around a lot so have friends spread across various parts of the UK, I dont get to see any of them as much as I would really like to. So it's nice to know what so and so is up to these days etc and also have an instant means of contacting them, regardless of if they havechanged their mobile number/moved house etc etc.

I cant stand people who live on facebook, although I often post photo's of things and et into a dialogue with people who reply - MUCH like this forum!

I wouldnt consider myself a lonely tosser.

I don't use an iPhone.

Facebook has never caused me misery.

And I've not had anal piles.

+1 Thumbs Up

I use Facebook as a convenient way to stay in touch with friends and colleagues around the world.

I do use an iPhone but am only friends with people who I actually know and the security settings are locked down with no access to the address books etc stored on my mac.

I too have never had anal piles Rolling with laughter
