United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Tonga Green
Drove a 4.2 S/C for first time today.

And bloody hell do they shift! I never considered my car to be slow but the SC is something else. Just power, power and more power. Coupled to the silky smooth 6 speed box it was just an amazing car to drive.

Looking at the car I hope to buy tomorrow, I just hope it is as nice as the one I drove today!

supercharged rocks... First when I got to a LR dealer he gave me a SC to testdrive because the 3.6 was out of budget and I didnt want a td6 Smile I've never driven another RR than the SC but I also test drove a VW touareg which was rubbish... (the sales man at VW even admitted that a RR is better) Laughing

today I had one of these bloody french drivers which really played with me.. He slowed me down first, then when I wanted to overtake he wouldnt let me. Censored

Well I showed him the 400HP from the Jag Engine.. Whistle

I forget to add: the supercharged is also good offroad Laughing (I've never seen one offroad before, but mine performed great)

and there is the sound... Awesome Very Happy

there is one negative aspect: it is thirsty. But come on,you only live once. Cool

Yup, I thought the 4.2 SC was great! Little did I know that upon trying the 5.0 SC I didn't want to buy a 4.2 SC anymore... Sad
Now, I'm waiting to try a remapped version of the 5.0 SC so I can get one when it's dirt cheap Laughing 2000 BMW M5, Avus Blue/LeMans Leather Interior

Think thats why i don't really want to give my 4.2 SC up unless it was for a 5.0 Litre SC , as it does go like Censored off a shovel , plus brings out the evil side in you ... Laughing Laughing

I was told to Tap the accelerator 6 times quickly then floor it ====================================

Hugi.. which touareg did you drive? i have come from Touareg to FFRR, i can honestly say that it is a very very good car in my opinion.

very well equiped, and very powerful.

will go anywhere a FF will go off road too!!

i had a 3.0l V6 with 300bhp and over 600nm, that is not to be sneezed at.. Shocked

i am a HUGE FFRR fan and i love the V8 to bits, but don't rule out other very capable cars. one of my friends had a Touareg with 1001nm of torque and about 400bhp, it was absolutely outrageous.

all the above are my own points of view and don't intend to upset anyone with them, just trying to stick up for a fantastic car.. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

Past: TDV8(4.4) Vogue
