I love off roading, just not in my own car - whilst I had the rear wheels off last weekend, I finally cleaned the rest off the Salisbury Plane off my rear suspension.

An alternative approach to renovating the wing mirrors (black ones), especially if they have scuff marks / pits etc.

1. 1200 wet and dry and fairy liquid solution.

2. Give each mirror cover a good but light sanding all over (not too heavy, especially on the corners otherwise you go through the "black"). I only washed the triangular bit, as opposed to sanding.

3. Rinse thoroughly and leave to dry

4. Good application of Turtle Wax Black Flash, working it into all the edges and grooves

5. Buff to shine .
