Wales 2003 Range Rover SE Td6 Zambezi Silver
Black wing mirror renovating/cleaning

I spent a while washing and waxing my FF on the weekend. When finished I felt the effect was spoilt by the rather dull and faded matt black mirrors and the triangular panels that they are fitted to. I wasnt really sure what to do with them so I decided to try to enliven them with a quick dab and rub with Ferecla polishing cream.

I only spent about a minute on each but I really like the finished result. I know they aren't meant to be so shiny but I think they look so much better.

Any thoughts

No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

I used boot polish on mine! A couple of brushes, one to brush on and, well you can work out the rest! Laughing

Believe it or not, Peanut butter brings them up a treat. In fact it works on all black plastic trim. Smooth variety of course. Just rub it in and then rub it back off.

Its not a wind up !

I tired peanut butter on a small patch of the plastic trim below the wipers and whilst it did turn the dull grey back to black, it was so thick that it clogged the finish.

Peanut oil was better, but still not as good as the plastic conditioners such as auto the glymn plastic cleaner, (sorry not sure of the correct name)

G-techniq C4--- caution NOT regular C4 or you may blow a hole in the side.
