TV in motion

I have being trying to fit a plug and play TV in motion to my 2009 Vogue. After leaving the ignition off for about 10 mins I fitted it. I then turned on the TV which worked, but message came up with suspension fault on the dash. The TV does not work in drive as it now should (sound only, as the manufacturer intended). When I removed the unit the fault message disappears and everything returns to normal

Any thoughts?

Regards Richard

Almost certainly the TV im motion module is causing havoc with the cars electronics. I had a similar problem with my BMW which when I put it in, the dash boards lit up like a Christmas tree, Turned out I had been supplied with the wrong module.

I would suggest you contact the supplier to double check what they've supplied.

Are there any swicthes on the module at all? Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

yes 3 DIP switches all in the up position as instructed. To be fair supplier has offered a refund but thought I would ask here first before sending it back.

have you tried all the different combinations of the switches?

Are there any markings on the box that say what car and model it's for? Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Hi Richard, can you post a link where you bought the TV in motion box from? The 753 hack is getting a bit tedious now.

Says it was for Disco 3, Sport and Vogue. I asked to make sure that Vogue meant 2009 not older style 2005 type. I haven't tried changing the switches as the guy said that they should be all up.

Was an ebay purchase.

just a quick bump for my last post.

could anyone who has fitted a VIM to there FF give me a few pointers, or is it straight forward??

the instructions i got with it are for a 2007 onwards, where you drop the glove box and everything is there. i believe in the 2006MY you have to remove the dash top panel? Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

For the pre-interior-facelift models, go to youtube and search powerfulUK's vids for the video on installing the aftermarket nav. It shows exactly how to get to the head unit.

I've never taken a new-dash model apart yet...
