Had a very blurry rear camera on my car which I’ve now fixed. Thought I’d share the mistakes I made!

Firstly, I bought one from the same year breaker. This arrived and worked but was almost as blurred (obviously a common issue). Sent that back then ordered another from an evoque. This one looked the same but want compatible and it turned out there were four types:

Yes, same process. Use a pry tool to pop off the strip then the camera housing just pulls down.

Saw some advice to drill two little holes in the housing at the bottom to let water drain out (sitting in it is what causes failure in the first place. I did that with mine, looks fine as the holes are underneath. My Previous RR's!

Any chance you could take a pic of where you drilled the holes? And what size holes?

It’s my first time doing much in the way of car stuff - I’ve taken the trim off, removed the camera to get the part number and ordered a replacement. Before it arrives and I repeat that process, I’d love more detail on where to drill and how big…

Replaced mine today (got some tips from the OP on where to drill the holes), it's like night and day difference in the reversing camera quality (or blurry night vs day, I guess).
