Yes. It's unfortunate that most of the time its futile to wash it as it looks very classy when clean.

am about to replace my horrible mismatched set and get the wheels refurbed.

will the size of 255 55 R20 keep the rims somewhat safe from kerbing?

how much should i be looking to pay per tyre?

cheers Its actually a sport Sad

Not anymore, 4.4 TDV8 now Very Happy

The extra sidewall will give more protection from kerbs and potholes. I go green laning in mine, excellent tyres and can’t fault them.

L405 Off-road Tyre Set

Hi all,

I’m adding my two pennies worth.

I have a 2019 L405 with the 22” turbine alloys in Pirelli Scorpion Verde 275 40 22 tyres. They’re fine on the road but no good for anything else, so I bought some 20” genuine L405 alloys and wrapped them in 275 55 20 BFGoodrich K02 tyres at great expense.
They fit with no issue, but do look a bit big for the arches.

They’re bloody noisy and rough on the road.

I guess the GGAT3’s will be quieter and less rough being two ply side walls and a bit less aggression on the tread.

I may sell the K02s and try the Toyo AT3 in 285 50 20. Had them on my 2012 D4.

I do think swapping rims is a pain, but quite doable.

Any thoughts?

Thanks
Al
