Another Year, Another MOT

There is something about owning a fatty and having the apprehension of the MoT test every year.
Thankfully yet another year passed with no advisories so now enjoying a blissfully peaceful moment for however long that lasts! Rolling with laughter _______________________________________________

I’m impossible to please:
A straight pass with no advisories always has me a little disappointed that I don’t have the opportunity to fiddle with/fix something or have an excuse to buy a new tool.
OTOH, a pass does feel like a very small Lottery win, for 24hrs Laughing “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

I says something when you get the call from the garage and to says it’s passed and your first thought is “really?”

Rolling with laughter V8 or else ...

@fisha:

Laughing That sounds a bit like “Er, did you really do a thorough job of it?” Rolling with laughter “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

I have an old X350 and this year while waiting for the result I heard the Mechanic say to the Receptionist "That old bloke keeps his Jag nice". ☹️ Or as they say in these parts 'in canny nick'.
Maybe he spotted the Worthers Originals and the cloth cap.

Maybe being FF owners and members of this forum makes us a little cynical and/or pessimistic? Rolling with laughter

Mine passed with an advisory for the "front N/S brake disc worn, but not excessively".....well, no-sh!t Sherlock......brakes have a habit or wearing down, so unless he's taken a micrometer to the disc to measure the thickness, then of course it's worn! Censored

Or am i being cynical? Whistle

Mike

This was the gist of the conversation I had with SWMBO when I came back from the testing station:

She: well, what's the damage?

Me: It passed with flying colours!

She: No! Really? Nothing at all?

Me: No, nothing.

She: Well that is going to cost you at some point!

Just can't win! Rolling with laughter _______________________________________________
