why a rev counter?

and why no screen option to have just the speedo , be it analogue or digital type...ok, on my 21my you can have a full screen map but then the digital speedo at the bottom is to small..

in my mind the FF should'nt have 'paddles' or a rev counter as its a 'lazy' drive car..

please discuss and shot me down.. Laughing ... - .- -.

So that I can upshift when I know that the engine will still pull well in the next higher gear!

Justifying both the tacho and paddles in the one sentence. D350 SE Carpathian Grey D5 19" rims

Upshift? I just select Sport if I'm in a hurry. Funny SWMBO always insists on a manual, should have some fun when she has to have electric.

I always wondered what those paddles were for Rolling with laughter Geoff

Totally agree Stan, it's a TFT screen so it should be easy to make it customisable and you can have anything you want on it... Bow down

I let the fatty decide which gear to be in, it's cleverer than me.... Thumbs Up Pete

My wife has gone electric Geoff and it's a pleasure not having to tell her she's in the wrong gear.... Very Happy ... - .- -.

I drive on the tacho, not the speedo (well , I do look at it occasionally) Shocked

and even in the wife's splendidly sporty TT, I have only played with the paddles once in 10 years .

I use the paddles to get into a lower gear ready for an overtake occasionally. First time FFRR owner

I don't think I've needed a tacho since I stopped driving a manual transmission, e.g., my 1971 Hillman Hunter:

Tacho and paddle shifters are invaluable while towing a caravan through hills and mountains

You’re saying a full-fat Range Rover is a lazy drive? Well, yes... and no. Because let’s not forget what’s lurking in its DNA, versatility like no other machine on four wheels. Sure, you can waft along, barely tickling the throttle like a retired colonel heading to the golf club. But give those paddle shifters a tug and suddenly the V8 wakes up, snarls, and breathes fire like an aristocratic dragon. From behind the wheel, perched high in your command position, you’re not just driving. You’re ruling.

You need a speedo but then again you need to look at it, would have saved me £100 and 3 points If I had. Thumbs Up Geoff
