Didn't need to code it after replacement supplied by WPS - it worked right out of the box Very Happy

Looks like i am going the same route as you with a WPS replacement rack coded for my car.
WPS say the rack will need initializing (not code) when i re-fit it, Did you have to initialize your rack?
WPS say a fault light will be on the dash until initializing is done, but the power steering will work.

On older range rovers initialisation was just a case of turning the steering from lock to lock so it could learn the limits of movement. V8 or else ...

I didn’t have any lights on the dash or any error codes on the dash ,was driving around for a day or so till Patrick (gap support) got back to me with what I needed to do

I have just refitted a reconditioned rack from WPS. There were no lights on. just worked.
Something i shouldn't have needed to do on a 21,000 mile car, but at least its back on the road.
