I’d be interested to know if anyone has fitted the Defender style 5098 in dark satin to their L405.

United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV6 Santorini Black

Just to throw my hat in the ring regarding Defender wheels on an L405. I had 22” turbines at when I purchased the car and now I have the “magic carpet” ride! Finally!

Would highly recommend!

United Kingdom 2014 Range Rover Vogue TDV6 Luxor

Good info in this thread, thanks for sharing. I am in week two of FFRR ownership and have a question for those running the Defender tyre size (810mm or 31.9 inches diameter) - have any of you experienced air suspension failure, will the tyres rub / can the car still move when it's sunk to the bottom of its travel?

I am buying 19" Defender wheels (style 6010) because I have an off-road adventure coming up in Morocco and want as much sidewall as possible. I have a TDV6 with small brakes so 19s will fit. Small Defender wheels are remarkably cheap, I have won a brand new set of take-offs with new Continentals for £325 but don't physically have them yet.

Ideally I would like to use the Defender size 255/65 which gives me 165mm sidewall, or I could play it safe with 255/60 which is 153mm sidewall and matches the L405 normal diameter. Knobbly all terrains with deep tread will add a bit vs a normal road tyre. I don't plan on using the Continentals in Morocco as I want as much puncture resistance as possible.

Thanks, and I will post photos once fitted.
