Last year my 2017MY failed its MOT on corroded ARC pipes (no fluid leaks). In 2023, the previous MOT, there was no advisory or other comment. It was an expensive repair. I don't have a warranty so paid it myself. Whether you have a claim on your warranty will depend on your policy wording, but I would expect corrosion to be excluded.

Not that this will be much help, but one of the main reasons I chopped in my 65 plate VSE last summer was being advised - confirmed by my own inspection - of corroded ARB pipes. It’s an expensive repair; that and the year 10 service meant a huge bill within a year, so despite it being a wonderful, trouble free car, I chopped it in. Car had full MD service history and was on a LRAU warranty, which I renewed each year. The trusted MD advised that LR wouldn’t cover the corroded pipes on warranty. |

Similar story for me with my otherwise faultless 2017 AB last year. In MD for 7 year service and was advised that ARC pipes were showing signs of corrosion (although not leaking) and was advised they should be replaced within the next 12 months at a cost of circa £2.5k. Also confirmed that warranty won't cover them as due to corrosion. That and soon needing new tyres all round and not being able to extend warranty as would be over 100k this year, tipped the balance for me to trade it in for another Fattie. 2021 D350 Fifty Edition - Carpathian Grey

Who did the replacement for you? I'm looking for someone north of the border to do mine (more as preventative than anything else). Cheers. |

rstoughy: mine were done at Lloyd Land Rover in Kelso, cost about £2,860, I expect more expensive now with higher labour rates and maybe part prices. It took about three weeks for the parts to be sourced from LR, so worth checking availability before booking your car in. Only Range Rovers since 1988 |

My 65 plate failed on mot as well for leaking hydraulic fluid , found on Ebay a company which makes flexible hoses for the ACE system. Is there anyone who swapped metal pipes to flexible hoses |

Those hoses linked are for the older RR sport I think, and wouldn't be a straight fit on the fullfat. The ends joining the valve blocks are different.
