2004 Security items??

Hi all
I've got 3 of these cars at the moment and have a non starting 3.0
We have tried everything and putting a noid light in shows a very weak, very irratic signal at the injector plug.
Anyway, i have another 3.0 there and want to remove the ECU from it for a test.

What does the system comprise of to make it work?
ECU
BCM
EWS
Key

is there anything else?
Many thanks
John

Injector wiring loom was a week point on the early 3.0, they do a repair loom for it... Thumbs Up Pete
I now have permission from the boss to use Y.O.L.O. Enjoy life

I'm currently having a nightmare with 3 of these cars.
2004 Black 3.0 TD6 turns over and won't start, we have changed everything on this now,
crank sensor
cam sensor
injector loom (as mentioned)
the whole ECU kit
HP mechanical pump
checked wiring loom as taking all the bits out
Has 40 MegaPascals of pressure at the rail (400 bar or nearly 6000psi)
280 cranking speed on live data
starts on brake cleaner but only runs whilst getting the whiff
had a noid light in the coil plug and getting signal in all 6
Am now at a loss on what else to change.
It doesn't seem to smole out the exhaust when turning over, and i thought it was a fault on the ecu and not firing the coils, but its exactly the same with a running cars ecu and stuff.
Question

On the basis that you have fuel pressure and pulsing on the injectors and it will run but only on easy start then how about the injection timing being out? Current: 2003 TD6 HSE. 161,000 miles

Not sure I follow you regards injection not being timed?

Numerous inputs from sensors are used to control when and how much fuel is injected surely?

If the injectors are being pulsed and you have fuel pressure then either its not injecting enough to run or being injected at the wrong time? Being as you have replaced all the vital inputs used and no errors logged it might be that one or more of the inputs are inaccurate, not enough to flag an error but enough to prevent a cold start. Anyway I'm sure you will get it sorted Current: 2003 TD6 HSE. 161,000 miles
