most of 4.4 dash not working

I've found 3 diferent threads that have the exact same symptoms as mine, but it has never been followed through as to the answer to what is wrong
Dash comes on but:
No rev counter
Temp goes straight up too max
Speedonot working
Indicator tell tale not working (indicators work fine)
Yellow and red light in the bottom right corner (brake related)
Is it a bad earth?
Moisture?
Any advice appreciated
Thank you
John

if anyone has this problem in the future it is burnt chips or resistors on the board.
Another dash and Bob's your uncle.
Dash is not part of the security, so are plug and play

That's good to know, I had an Audi A8 that required the dash to be coded, VAGCOM diagnostics couldn't do it from memory, so was a main dealer job... £££'s

I suppose your mileage will need to be corrected? Or when it comes time to sell, do you just sell the vehicle complete with the old set of clocks?

Would be interesting to know if GAP IID shows a difference in mileage between the instrument cluster and one of the other modules that stores mileage, or whether those other units just pull the mileage from the instrument cluster?

the mileage in the dash will be just in the dash (i think) and modules will be recorded as to the mileage they have done... if they record mileage
Mileage can be changed a few different ways to suit the car.
