If I remember correctly, I just spliced the 2 aerial wires together and joined that to the black wire you have circled (I cut the end connector off the black wire)

I think it was just normal crimp style wire joiners. The cables from the aerials are not coax so no need to worry about shielding etc. V8 or else ...
