Just an update on this. My mechanic and myself are struggling to find any pipes in the uk.

Give Robin at Duckworth Land Rover Parts Department a call. He’ll be able to help you source it and if there are none available he’ll be able to check cross references. 2002 4.6 Vogue SE - Alveston Red with Lightstone Leather

No worries, good to hear it wasn’t as bad as it looked. It does look very tight where they have the heat wrap on them. I couldn’t get my hand in to feel where they went.

For anyone else that might need this. LR Classic Parts sell new items of these now. Not cheap. I got them off eBay combined with the 20% discount on at the moment. Good timing for once. '95 VW Corrado VR6

Done this job today. I really didn’t enjoy doing the gearbox oil change plus seals, I don’t think I’ll ever do that again I’ll pay someone else, I’m quite clumsy/careless/impatient so for me changing the pipes was at least on a par with that job, but probably easier.

Also worth noting the gearbox took around 7.5 litres until it started coming back out of the fill hole. So if you plan to do this job at the same time as an oil change I'd say it's worth buying more than 7 litres. I bought 9 in total in the end. '95 VW Corrado VR6
