United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Santorini Black
L332 cost when brand new.

Was wondering what someone paid for my L322 in 2009 (built it 2008).

Seems to be a standard 3.6 TDV8 Vogue with what I imagine is a few extras.

Does anyone know what the list prices were then?

Sadly I don’t have the original invoice.

Guessing £65k-ish all in? 2009 pre-facelift 3.6 TDV8.

I see I didn’t get any replies to this so I thought I would ask a modern computer science model…

I then uploaded the bill sheet for it to go through and it guessed mine in 2009 cost between £62-65k.

I’m guessing this is about right. 2009 pre-facelift 3.6 TDV8.

Quite a reasonable chunk of change back in 2008/09.

Give they are probably 10% of that value they are pretty good value for money if you have one that's been loved.

Exactly, I spent 2 years looking for the right one, still given me a few issues as they all do, but it’s amazing value for money. So much car, so much comfort and so much presence for so little money.

As mentioned on another post I didn’t feel a £100k difference when getting back into mine after visiting a showroom to sit in a new one… 2009 pre-facelift 3.6 TDV8.

If anyone does have the original bill sheet of a similar car they are willing to share I’d love to see it. 2009 pre-facelift 3.6 TDV8.

Have to agree. For the money its incredible value. I use mine as a daily driver, dog car, car parts mover, long haul cruiser and find it a hugely comfortable car and helps eat up a 1000+ mile journey with ease.

I might like to upgrade to a younger 4.4 possibly as the old girl is getting a bit long in the tooth, but its fundamentally been a very good experience.

I bought my first FFRR Vogue brand new in 2009 (58 plate) and can confirm the screen price in the main dealers was £64,995.00. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom Smile

Thanks. I see that a similar 4.4 would be close to either side of £70k which would make sense.

I still can’t get my head around basic new FFRR’s being 6 figures now so I asked the said computer science model to show the original prices along with a price adjusted for inflation…

Interesting overview…

Replaced it with a 4.4 Westminster four years ago. Best thing I ever did. Loved the 3.6, but it was a constant servicing battle after 80k miles (gearbox, turbos etc.)

Mine was built in Sept 08 but sold in March 09 (no idea why such a gap) so I imagine it came with a decent discount. Imagine they were pushing the digital dash versions around that time over mine. 2009 pre-facelift 3.6 TDV8.

The gap was probably because the car market was absolutely on its knees with many manufacturers having produced significantly more units than they could sell. LR were threatening dealers that if they didn't sell the (already built) stock which was sitting in Gaydon without making a profit, they wouldn't have a dealership! Bear in mind, this was at the tail end of the global financial crash.

I got my new Vogue for £49k rather than £65k. In the same week, I bought an Audi B7 RS4 V8 for SWMBO, so it was a bit of a spending spree. Mr. Green

Good point re build and sell date. That’s a nice 2 car garage. Did both live up to your expectations? 2009 pre-facelift 3.6 TDV8.

Neither of them ever saw the inside of the garage - that's reserved for more 'special' cars in the fleet!! Wink

The 3.6 was the best car I'd ever owned, until I got the 4.4. I just wish I'd made the change a bit earlier than I did. The (2012) 4.4 TDV8 is the last and the best Range Rover, period!

The RS4 will be remembered as probably the most exhilarating journey I've made on the King's Highway, covering 100 miles on mountainous twisty B-roads at an average of 64.8mph. Can't say where that was (or which king I'm referring to) as I might incriminate myself! Whistle The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom Smile
