[For Sale] L322 Trim Navy Boot/Floor Mat + NEW Varta Battery

Hi all,

Attempted to install a new battery in my L322 and accidentally ordered the wrong battery which will not fit my L322 S/C. It's a brand new Varta I1 Car Battery 12V Silver Dynamic. Link to the item I bought here:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/394338639466

I've also bought new floors mats and a boot cover. These are still in fairly good knick so someone may want them. I have some various boot compartment trim parts as well.

Due to weight and size, collection from east London area please. Happy to drive to meet within reason.

Battery - looking for £90, boot and trim £40 all in. £120 for the lot or can sell separately.

Trim and boot will go in the bin if not sold within 2 weeks!

Thanks all.

Hi,

020 battery should fit the later cars but you have to Dremel off the bottom end foot ledges at the base of the battery because the base is about 3mm too wide at each end. It doesn't affect the battery itself. But it does give you next level battery capacity especially in AGM form.

Also the positive terminal you have to connect as you drop in the battery as there is little space for the fuse link to fit.

A.

I changed mine to an Exide 020 AGM a few weeks ago.

It's a snug fit and that 020 is damn heavy.

Example of the feet you have to dremel off, in yhe pic circled I think you may only need to do the right side one, but I did both ends just for a bit of extra wiggle room

Thanks. Presumably you ditched the metal retainer bits that screw and hold it in? L322 2007 S/C 4.2L

Just modified them with the Dremel and a hammer to fit.

The battery front foot covers the threaded holes for the mounting, but just mark the holes location on the battery foot, pull it out, Dremel that with a grinding stone just enough to expose the hole and it should fit.

If the brackets prove too tough, you can omit them and use large penny washers bent slightly so they secure the base, just grind off part of the round edge to square off one side.
