I also have a P550e for the same reasons as above, but I think the D350 engine is superb and really suits the car. All other things being equal, it's the engine I would choose. 2024 Range Rover P550e AB |

You’re lucky to have a local to talk to. Both Harwoods and Sytner have given up in Pulborough and Portsmouth.

I’ve run a P400 about 15k miles now’s. Motorway journeys will easily see you above 30 mpg (highest I’ve seen in a run to Edinburgh was mid 37mpg although I was being a tad frugal with the pedal.

Hi all thank you, great responses. TBH, I’ve been looking closer at the P400 and the last comments is music to my ears .

Had a P400 in the 110 Defender and loved it but beware of the fuel consumption as its not that good unless you believe what the dash shows

The D300 is perfectly adequate on grunt, & on a decent run achieves 40 mpg …but why settle for adequate? A few quid on petrol/diesel pales into insignificance… you are paying £100,000 plus for the car. I just like diesel and would buy the D350 next time .

I tried the P400 when hunting for my L460, it was ok, but i found the D350 better, i'm no expert, but the D350 really suited the car in my view. The 350 feels very subtle but more than enough power if you put your foot down. Also has a nice 6 cylinder undertone.

The P400 also has the 6 cylinder undertone but slightly more so than the diesel variants but my concern is the torque - HP is fine at 400 but the torque figs are well down on the D350 and the fact LR have dropped the P400 from the range gives me further concern "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.

You can't go wrong with either tbh, so drive side by side and see which one you prefer. If it's the D350, you then need to decide if it's worth the extra money over the P400.
