I'm guessing that your 2011 is well and truly under warranty?

Well the car is now 4 days old and has the grand total of 500 miles on it, so yes it is still well and truly under warranty! This is one of the reasons why having brand new cars can be stressful. If it were a 2 year old secondhand car I'd just suck it up, but the fact that it is a brand new £75k car is a little frustrating. Mind you, if it were two years old the previous owner would no doubt have gone through the stress of getting the "niggles" sorted. The last time I had anything this disappointing happen was when my last brand new FFRR persistently leaked water onto my foot. It got to the point of rejecting the the car before they sorted it. Hopefully this will be easier to diagnose and solve. The dealer has offered to the oil cleaned from my drive . |

I think you should just insist on having the whole diff replaced as dan says.

This shows a total lack of quality control Land Rover have with part suppliers, the tolerance of the shaft must be way out to be leaking on a brand new vehicle, either that or the seal has been nicked or poorly assembled when built, even a faulty seal again lack of quality control.

Took it to the dealer this morning and one of the diff seals is leaking. Monday it will be fixed.

I should expect them to foot the bill for cleaning the drive, it is after all their fault.
