Again a very dangerous approach but... I pointed ChatGPT at FullFatRR thread https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic35977.html all about oil coolers and gaskets and asked it to identify the steps to replace the cooler and gasket and how long it should take. (it can make stuff up which is a bit dangerous but it said...)
so 6 hours is perhaps about right? And it is sensible to replace gaskets. video of process here https://youtu.be/bZsKfKOy-r0 -- On my third Full Fat RR |

If you've pointed chatgpt at this forum then the times will be wrong, not many of the quoted times will have been for a mechanic in a fully equipped workshop, more than likely a DIY job on the driveway with a halfords socket set (which is more than upto this job).

WW came back late last night - they seem to love sending a reply at 5pm when it's too late for me to do anything. Delay tactics?

What a joke these warranty companys are, this is why i dont have one . It will be pain full to get a big bill but it would be worse if i had given these clowns money and then had to fight them. overfinch modified |

That cooler gasket is for the EGR cooler, not the oil cooler. A lot more work. It might be a 'while you're down there' job. 2012 Vogue TDV8 in Aintree green over sand |

Which is fair enough IMO. One can't expect a warranty company to pay for something which is not broken.

just to add an extra dimension, warranty wise have now agreed to pay for all the seals and gaskets as a gesture of goodwill - the grand total of £17. But not the cost of fitting them... --
