Sorry can’t help with the EV issues having only borrowed one of the early RRS versions a few years back (I thought it was dreadful) but on the Pivi Pro side the dealer cannot force the updates and the car will just update itself over time "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.

Have a look at my post about HV heater. I’ve got a p400e and it’s one of those faults that you don’t really know what’s wrong until it’s fixed!

Thanks v much for the detailed response It doesn’t seem to be that, or at least the climate on/off seems to make no difference. I am starting off in EV but it is lasting minutes before locking into EV and the “EV temporally not available” message appears when I try to force it back. I am also noticing that even a very small throttle input or even an incline is causing EV to drop. It switches to EV at sub 20mph and then just won’t go back and yet I am sure I have read people managing 50mph and upwards on full EV and completing whole journeys. All I can do is restart the car, and then the cycle repeats. I have been on a couple of 30 mile runs today and no EV available after minutes on each. The car and engine are warm as a result but the battery doesn’t seem to want to play for any length of time at all. Currently it seems as I have just a P as opposed to a PHEV ! Could I ask to you to clarify this bit ? “I’ve noticed now we’re in minus temps that it sometimes runs for the first half mile or so before going back to normal.” Do you mean it runs in ICE for a short while in cold temps after starting and then flicks to EV or the other way round ? Thanks again |

Best way to check if your HVHC is broken is using electric pre-cononditioning. If your car gets warm with electric pre-conditioning, it's something else. If electric pre-conditioning is blowing cold air - your HVHC unfortunately needs (another) replacement. |

I'm very unhappy about me choosing PHEV over petrol version. I think it will give me nothing but increasing PITA over the years. I was initially planning to keep this car for 10+ years, but I'm getting an increasing temptation to get a rid of this crap ASAP for whatever cost just to minimize the damage. |

I really hope you'll get your issues fixed and everything will be fine. Maybe it's just northern climate I live in. |

To the OP, I’ve never had any of the issues you have described. In contrast to my previous P400e, my P550e stays in EV mode, even if I put my foot down or in very cold temperatures. 2024 Range Rover P550e AB |

Something is wrong there. MY 460e in EV mode will run the battery dry unless you go mad with the accelerator. I've done 1500 miles in mine and only had the engine on for around 200 of those. All my local commuting is battery. Having previously had 2 EV's is suits me perfectly. 1 mile per KWH isn't great, but the refinement you get makes up for it. |

Same here, our P550e runs on EV until battery is empty. Occasionally - if the ICE hasn't been used for weeks - the ICE kicks in even in EV mode, but after a few kilometers it goes back to pure EV mode again.
