Hot compartment - where the wireless charger sits

Does anyone have issues with the temperature of the compartment where the wireless phone charger sits?

I don't use it to charge my phone, but today the left side of my left leg was resting against the side of the center console and it felt quite hot against my leg. I checked the area out and found that the inside of the compartment was very hot as were the sides on the exterior.

I've heard that while a phone is charging it gets quite hot, but I've never used it to charge my phone.

In fact my phone was't even inside there.

WL, the wireless charging feature does seem to get very hot in the L460. Last time I checked it started off charging my phone OK (iPhone 15 Pro) but eventually the it got so hot the phone turned off the internal charging to protect the battery.
It's on my growing list of little niggles to be looked at next time it goes in for something more major.

Yes, same here and well documented issue.

It turns off the iphone for heat issues!

I'll be interested if they can do anything to fix it, given it seems to be a design issue.
