Has anyone upgraded their climate control panel? I see on Ebay that most of units are made in China? Does anyone have any recommendations? Also curious how they worked out? Thanks! Mike

I did, looks lovely.

BUT the controls on mine aren't perfect. Despite telling it the drive side, the passenger one overrides the drivers if on sync.

Also, it does some strange things with upper, mid lower fan (though unsure if that's the RR or the unit!..all in I'd say worth it

I have one I am selling if interested. It doesn’t work perfectly for the rear air vents with the 2013.

The upgraded OEM panel doesn’t work to control the front seat heating either. The 2013 is a weird one.

Hi BORA20, thanks for answering. I'm surprised the climate unit doesn't work properly as it's just a 1 plug and play. Do you think it's the unit or the year of your car 2013?? Looks like you also installed the upgraded infotainment system as well. Does that work properly and did you install t yourself?? I looked at the videos and it scared thew hell out of me. Mike

Everything works proper except for the rear ceiling vents for some reason. I’m sure it’s a 2013 compatibility issue. The heated and cooled seats work front and rear, the front HVAC works, the screen menus work properly.

Infotainment system works 100% properly. Install was easy. I did it myself. Dan. 🇨🇦 2013 L405 5.0 SCV8

I also updated my HVAC screen and it too only syncs via the left hand control nob - seems to ignore the 'drivers side' setting for that bit - only a small irritation though.

I also note that the unit in not able to control the massage seats but as I updated my audio head unit to the large tablet style, hitting the A/C button on the HVAC switches the upper screen to the original LR screen settings where I can then control the massage - a little quirky but you get used to it.

I’m pondering that exact setup myself Ash, with the big screen and updated AC.

Did you do it yourself, I’ve seen that Rangerover world in Grantham does the same setup installed but it’s about £2k +.

I can live with the temp sync issues but do you have the meridian amp and speakers with surround? If so how do you select the DSP mode (Dolby, meridian or stereo etc)

if you do upgrade to this screen 'and' purchase a newer FF then you will loose the speedo dash navigation screen...

ok for your 2016 as the nav is pants in that year.. ... - .- -.

I’m not quick enough on the new cars Stan, 2nd LR one in Ludlow had already gone! Still pondering the one from the Indy in Chesterfield……  There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Yes I did it myself (with some guidance from GaryRRs posts) - wasn't too difficult, in fact the only ticky part was getting the head unit back in with all the new wiring harness behind it - but a little patience and it was done.

I didn't pay anything like £2k for mine - I posted in the other thread on the topic that they were around £750 mark for both screens.

For the DSP stuff, you can still access the original OE system (its displayed on the new screen) so you retain ALL of the original features and settings - just change the DSP settings via the 'old' system - Once its up and running the press the Car symbol and you will see this...

Ah, that looks good. So basically all the old functions and side buttons are replicated on the new screen.

The only button I do press a lot is the parking sensor deactivation button as mine go mad reversing with the caravan on the back……. So long it’s still accessible somehow, which it is, then that’s good.

Correct - thats the only reason I went for it as I wanted to keep all the original system stuff in case I wanted some of them.

Turns out I don't really need any of them other than the massage seats function and perhaps would have been good for the new unit to have DAB built in.

I do use Rayo (other DAB streaming apps are available ) but you do use data streaming via the new system.

Maps are SO much better than the stock system, and there are plenty of Nav apps you can install directly - or use CarPlay and your phone if you'd prefer Ash
