As above , some dealer photos really make the colour look way brighter . I was about to buy one a few months back with full red, but lost out to another buyer. Don't think you'd regret it tbh.

I have a Jag X350 Sovereign with cranberry interior. The seats looked gaudy in the dealer's photos but everything else about the car was exactly what I wanted, so I went to have a look. The seats look much more subtle in the flesh and I still have the car 6 years on. There's no sign of wear whatsoever and they have definitely worn better than my previous car with cream leather. My L405 has the standard creamy coloured seats but given the choice I would definitely go for red.

I love a red interior!

I used to own a Navy Blue BMW (E93) Convertible with Red interior and it was stunning (imo). I have no question that it divided opinion, but the same can be said for almost anything that elicits an emotional response.

Having cast a vote for a red interior; it wouldn't be what I would look for from my FFRR. To each his own, and as others have said; your money, so buy what gets your juices flowing.

If this was something that was of particular importance to me; I wouldn't let the resale market and/or value stop me from pulling the trigger. Life's too short to be trying to put a value on such things. In effect you're saying that you perhaps shouldn't act now because there's a possible future where your resale time/value might be negatively impacted! So what? What value should be assigned to the smile on your face today? or perhaps more importantly; what value should be assigned to the future regret as a consequence of not acting when given the opportunity...?

For me, red leather (vinyl) interiors look OK in classic cars (<70's), but for some reason don't do the same for me in modern cars, where I prefer the "beige" approach. (must be my age...) .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

On resale, red might actually appeal more to a “sporty” younger buyer now the cars are getting more affordable.
I had a grey Mk1 Z4 with a full red leather interior, and loved it. Has to be Black, Grey, or Dark Blue exterior with red interior, or at least a dark body colour.
So much better than white/cream, which always looks stunning new, but dirty as the car ages, especially the perforated leather. Nothing to beat black or navy for practicality, however. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?
