I had a pre-facelift (2012) one from new, did about 80,000 miles in it. I had it remapped quite early on and the only fault in my ownership was a plastic inlet manifold that started to leak and was replaced under warranty. |

Thanks for the reply. Was all set on getting one, then went down a rabbit hole of stories of cranks failing etc. Of course, I appreciate that some folk only post bad stories on the internet, having owned fatties myself.

Never had one myself, but colleagues have and none of them had a problem. They’re nice cars. |

I've had the 3.0 diesel engine in other cars but not in an XF and have had no problems with it.
