It occurred when you changed the air strut, its quite common to happen. |

That looks as though the shaft hasn’t been fully fully home, otherwise it would have sheared much further down the shaft/ spline or possibly not sheared at all. |

I think its all related to my front strut change. I think I had accidentally unseated it when doing the swap and then as you said, has been unseated, all power right on the end and has just failed where the recess has been cut for the clip. |

I had mine pop out after not installing it properly following a strut change. No damage however! I thought it was going to be difficult to do but it turned out to be quite simple.
