Transmission sump shield

Hi guys
Went to do transmission oil change and filter ,just spent the last hour trying to get these two bolt’s undone (see photos).all that’s happening is there are spinning can’t get to the nut inside …anyone had this issue and if so what did you use to undo them

yea i think that is going to be the only way as i can’t get a spanner in there to hold the nut ,better go and get new bolts/nuts

England 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

The clips corrode through but I have managed to get two to come off using an impact. The weight of the shield pulled down a bit did create enough drag to enable the nut to turn slower than the impact drive, unwinding after a few minutes. A far easier approach than grinding.

yea did use an impact in the end but the bolt if free however the nut on the inside also turns that’s my issue i can’t get anything in to stop it which is very annoying if i had a spanner that i could get in there dam frustrating
