Strange wobble/rocking side to side when driving

2014 autobio with 31k on it.

So I’ve noticed something when driving I get a wobble side to side while driving on even a relatively smooth and flat road. You feel your body moving side to side rocking sensation/movement in the seat almost like One side of the car is lifted slightly then let down. Anyone have idea on how to fix this? Is this sway bar, sway bar bushings, the active control bar system, something with the suspension unit? I noticed the dynamic response fluid Rez is slightly lower than MIN so I bought more to top it off....couldn’t imagine that causing it though.

also I get a subtle clunk (seems like from the front) when go over the curb of my driveway. Turning left to pull into driveway and going over the curb I hear 2 clunks as each tire goes over the curb and the chassis twist/flexes a bit.

also is the dynamic fluid Rez the same that also feeds the power steering? I know they Both take the same fluid (I really need to get an owners manual). 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

That thread talks about the ARC or replacing the Active Sway bar it seems....but didn't really get a feel from it that it fixed the issue. The clunk is only heard when i go up my driveway curb apron...so that's the least of the issue. The wobble side to side in my seat is the issue I'd like to get sorted. If they both get sorted at he same time even better. 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

Then Google the term I suggested.

There is plenty of information on this forum and in other places about the suspension problems on early L405s.

I am surprised that you did not do your homework before buying a vehicle.

its a 2014 so its not first year. That talk suggests all 2014's are junk which is dumb. Regardless, suspension part updates isn't a reason to not buy a car. Your google suggestion search found 1 decent result. I'm looking for specific part to replace not just throwing parts at the problem. I'll wait for more senior members to chime in 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

Before anything else I wouldn’t rule out a bump on a tyre.

I requested brand new tires when I purchased it so I have nothing to compare it to they have less that 1k miles on them. The wobble is often but it's not consistent like every 2 seconds....Almost feels like one side of the car the air struts has slightly less air pressure and dips and rebounds back.

I have not changed the filter or flushed the system. I've recently picked up the car 6 years old @31k miles....so the age might dictate a flush isn't a bad idea. I think these needs dealer or Indy to do from what I can tell (software and modeules involved). The dynamic fluid rez is slightly below min so I've purchased some more to top it off. But I woudln't think that would be the root cause. 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

Did you get this sorted?

Sorry to revive another old thread. I’m finding lots of topics with similar issues to mine, but none of them have the solution/problem in them.

I can completely understand why no-one further responded to this thread back in 2020, I think you would be better starting your own thread. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

You might be right about that. I just wanted to prevent even more open ended topics, so others can find the answers they are looking for without endlessly diving through topics.
The owners who have faced the issue will be the best to speak on it.

The specialists (3) and me are really at our wits end with this and I don't want to keep pouring money into this.

To list what we have tried:
- New tires and rims aligned and balanced several times (Pirelli)
- New oil for all diffs and transfer cases and gearbox
- Engine supports
- Front driveshaft replaced
- Front left axle replaced
- New brake disks and pads in the rear
- Right front wheel bearing replaced
- Differential revision
- New rear driveshaft

I suspect the rear driveshaft, or whatever that is attached to, as replacing the shaft resulted in a temporary fix, but the issue reappeared. When we took off the old driveshaft we noticed that the joint didn't move smoothly when moved from side to side. It was like there was a spot when centred that seemed to be the preferred position. We only noticed this after the new one was already installed, so no way to verify if that had the same, or if over time this centre point had been grinded in to the old one.

Very rarely the issue is not present and the car is super smooth, but within minutes it comes back. In my mind it feels like all of a sudden the parts are well aligned and working well together and after coasting/decelerating they get misaligned/unbalanced again.
Sometimes it feels like the driveshaft is like a jump rope when I very lightly accelerate between 80-100 km/h.

It also suffers from the issue that when decelerating/coasting from 130km/h there is a noticeable vibration.
