Try warming it up with a heat gun for a while, move quickly and keep feeling the panel, you don't want it hotter than your hand can take, then try pulling it off....

I had a similar problem with my previous MY2017 with a badly fitted front mudflap and discovered that the panel is in fact 2 seperate sections, the base and the body colour upper section. You don't need to warm anything up but having a set of plastic trim removal tools will help a lot.

Maybe cheaper just buying original as opposed to having to buy 10, here's the JLR link to them: -

Actually, scrap everything I said, just noticed you’ve got an L405 - your profile says 2011 but clearly the photo is the later model. And it’s posted in the 405 threads |

Thanks for your comments guys, much appreciated. I think the parts l need are 219A38 but I'm not sure as it looks like l only have broken bits. I'l call the local dealer tomorrow or I may attempt to look at the other side tomorrow but in my experience, that's asking for trouble! Keep you updated on progress.

Nope, you don't "have to" heat it up but the idea behind it is pertinent to this time of year, if you pull them off in these cold conditions the panels are well known to snap...!! Yes Pete, you're absolutely right, in this weather it doesn't hurt to make them a bit toasty and more flexible |
