United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Barolo Black
TD6 Antifreeze

Just bought a 2005 TD6 L322 and so far so good.
Planning on Servicing at the weekend including Flushing Antifreeze where are the bleeding Screws and what and how much Antifreze is required.

Refill quantity of coolant is 11 litres with an antifreeze content of 50%. Antifreeze should be ethylene glycol without any added methanol. Blue / green colour.

Thanks for reply my local motor factors do Blue but when I called them they recommended Pink or Orange !!!

The pink or orange is only for 2006 vehicles onwards. All the BMW engined cars use ethylene glycol, blue. Thumbs Up

There is one point, as your car is a 2005 it would be worth checking to see what coolant is in the car at present as orange/red and blue/green coolants are not compatible. It’s not inconceivable that a previous owner has used the wrong coolant in the past.
When draining the coolant you can’t get out all the existing coolant out, I think there is a couple of litres that stays in. This being the case l would be inclined to refill with whatever coolant is in the car at present to avoid compatibility issues. Even if the wrong coolant is in the car l doubt it would cause an issue.
