FBH not working, advice welcomed!

Hi all,
My FBH has never worked in the 18 months I've had the car. The remote fob works fine, but only ever blows cool air, regardless of outside temperature.

When I first got my GAP IID I did mange to get it to prime, and then run, but now nothing.

I have done a battery off reset for 30 mins.

GAP IID tool shows "operation failed E3" error code when I try to prime or force the FBH to run.
I have checked fuse #16 (5a) it it's fine.

It sounds like a comms problem to me? E3 code? Anyone able to offer some advice please?

Thank you!

I'm don't know what that code relates to but try again with your gap tool prime it and try to run it I put an air line in my intake to force it to run and it eventually did and worked fine there after.
Remember you need a min amount of fuel in your tank and outside temp must be below a certain temp unless you have a remote to start it.

Thanks. Sadly the gap tool just gives error E3 for both priming and operating the FBH.
Does anyone know the model of FBH fitted in 2010? ThermoTop 5 or EVO?
I guess the next stage is to physically check the unit.....front left wheel off and access through the wheel arch???

I know one of the criteria to work is 1/4 tank of fuel minimum also outside temperature has to be below +5 (guessing now) might help you? 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

No, in theory the GAP tool should over ride the temperature, particularly if all I'm asking it to do is prime.

Plenty of fuel.

According to the handbook, the 5c temperature is to trigger the fbh to assist the engine running temperature, but the telestart should command heat from the fbh if the temp is 15c or below. Above 15c the telestart just starts circulating the cabin with ambient air.
