United Kingdom 2002 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black
Wedding Prep

I have the honour of being asked to drive a bride to her wedding in my FFR, a couple of questions
1, what's the best way to dress the vehicle (Java black vogue)?
2, I want the vehicle valeting to my high standards the morning of the wedding (just outside Newcastle upon Tyne), who is the best valeting company in the area (by peoples first hand experience)

Any assistance appreciated. Very Happy

I did the same for my cousin and his future bride recently. Obviously a good valet first, but check on what they want before you do too much. I intended fitting ribbons etc. But she didn't want too much fuss. I had a hamper with a bottle of bubbly in the boot and a pair of glasses for them to keep. flowers in the back of the car and some gold balloons.

Everyone will have different tastes, so check with the passengers first.

Good luck. No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

Cant help on the valeting in newcastle, but you can get it done the day before or a few days before and use a quick detailer and microfiber to bring it back to life just before you arrive for the bride and photos.
As for dressing the FF i would think a simple ribbon from center of the bonnet to top of each door would look the best and classiest.

Again, can't help with the valeting in Newcastle, but with our wedding car, we try and provide a slightly more upper class, modern approach......basically letting the car do the talking.

A simple white ribbon threaded through the grill is perfect. No flowers. No bows.

As for the prep:

I'd have the valet done the day before, then a wipe down on the morning to get rid of any dust (you'd be suprised how long even that can take) - if you don't keep it in the garage, I'd throw a sheet over it!

The best Champagne you can afford in an acrylic cooler with plain glass flutes (silver buckets and goblets look terrible IMHO).

Once you've do the day, you'll want to do it again and again....it's really good fun and really rewarding!

For valeting, there's a guy I know of called Dan that's based in Newcastle, he posts on a local forum as well as Detailing World I think.

His Youtube channel has some examples of his work, this being one of his best jobs..

Give him a shout, his email address is propolish@ymail.com

I'll PM him to let him know in case you contact him.

I'm sure he could sort something for you for valeting. 2006 Mercedes CLS
1991 Retro-style Mini
But really finding it hard to fight the urge for a S/C...

Excellent, thanks for the responses, plain ribbon I think it will be but the bride obviously will have the last word.
