Guys wanted some help..I'm looking to install some project Kahn led puddle lights 5 per side sill and wire then into the lower footwell lights so try operate when you open the door and upon key lock and open. I had a look at the lower footwell light there is a brown wire and a blue/red one which one is live and ground, apologies for my electrical ignorance! Also as the wire will be routed from underneath the vehicle any ideas on the neatest way to root it in? I was going to go under the tread plate and under the plastic footwell trim to the footwell light. Any help and ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

Normally red is positive and brown is earth

i would double check with a multimeter...if you havnt got one then maplins sell them cheap and they are always handy to have...

They are only activated when the interior lights are on or when the door is opened and I would definitely not drive around with them on!

Is it me or do they seem to illuminate under the sill, rather than where you are going to put your foot?
The FFRR puddle light projects out to where you will stand, no?

They are fitted right to the edge of the sills and your right focus directly down however the light from the LEDs do light up the area where you stand.
