P550e vs P460e specs

Looking at a P550e Autobiography.
Looks like the 550 gets the e-diff and dynamic response pro, but deletes the 4-zone climate.
Seems odd to be missing out a feature on the more expensive version - any thoughts?

I remember having to spec the 4 zone climate on my P550e. Didn't realise it was standard on the cheaper model - doesn't sound right, I agree! 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

I checked with the dealer - apparently it’s because it slightly reduces the electric range in the official testing!

How are you finding the P550e?
I’m a bit split between the Sport and the full fat, probably both as a 550e. I like the additional space of the full size but enjoyed the feel of the sport.

I've never driven the Sport so can't compare them directly, but I'm very pleased with mine. I'm not honestly convinced that the 550e is is worth the extra over the 460e, but there's plenty of power when I want it, and the decent electric range means almost all of my local journeys are electric.

I have always been a fan of the split tailgate, it's just so useful for changing out of muddy football boots, putting on ski boots, somewhere to sit whilst it's chucking it down, etc etc. I have the leather cushions and speaker system - "tailgate event suite" - which is fun although I don't use it much of course. 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

I have a P460e AB and had a power upgrade to a P550e - this is not a remap its a reflash of the engine as per factory - a tick box excercise on the JLR software for the car - cost me £400 to do and is untraceable by a dealer.

I always wondered what the Dynamic Response Pro would bring to the table if I had a P550e and my car was in with my dealer this week for some work and I was given a P550e AB - I found absolutely NO difference between my car and that car. In fact I felt the power delivery much smoother on my car than the factory car which was strange but I did not find any other difference between the P460e and P550e drive wise (or Power wise in my case!)

Ah and yes my insurance "made a note" on my policy about this power upgrade but there was no increase in my premium either.

They are rather different cars - had both but would choose the Full Fat any day of the week over the sport. In dynamic mode the FF is a smashing driver too.

ffrman, that's very interesting re Dynamic RP as that's the main reason I was thinking of 550.

Do you find much difference in power from 460 to 550 day-to-day, given its not a sports car anyway?

No its not a sports car so you dont really feel the need for the Dynamic Response Pro anyway - as I said I found no better between the 2 cars.

Power delivery yes definately noticable between the 460 and 550 for sure. I am so glad I did the upgrade after market and didnt bother with buying the 550e!

Interesting.
The lease rates are virtually the same so I’ll be going 550.
I occasionally throw my L322 around and will likely do the same with a new one and appreciate the idea of the DRP and e-diff.
I used to work with a chassis team working on early e-diffs. They can make a big difference to safety, eg in high speed lane changes.
