Auxiliary water pump and heater valve on 4.4TDV8

Hello to the experts on Sunday, have any of you ever changed the secondary water pump and the heating valve on the 4.4 TDV8 from 2012? Client´s car....it's a horrible job because it's very difficult to get to the hose clamps and the parts. I even removed the inner fender. It would be ideal if you also removed the shock absorber to make room. And it's all just suspicion, because the diagnostic device shows no errors, but the car remains cold. I will continue to report.... Many greetings from Düsseldorf L405 SDV8 2017 + Lancia Flavia Coupe 1964 + RRS L494 3.0 SDV6 + C220CDI Convertible 2021

Hello everyone, it wasn't the pump and the large heating valve that caused the heating to not work, all the hoses towards the footwell are still cold, I then ordered the other valve with a solenoid valve, I'm curious when I install it next week then it gets warm. Luckily, as is often the case, the customer has a second Range Rover to drive. So, done, it was the single heating valve on the right in the direction of travel, you can get to it quite easily compared to the left, the fuse box and air filter had to be removed. Only the stupid clamps were difficult to loosen, so I installed screw clamps that are easily accessible from above. After bleeding, the car was immediately warm again and the customer is happy. L405 SDV8 2017 + Lancia Flavia Coupe 1964 + RRS L494 3.0 SDV6 + C220CDI Convertible 2021

I'm working up to doing this exact same job. Did you simply bleed from the top bleed screw over the radiator, or is there more to it than that? Any other tips I should be prepared for? Thanks 2011MY 4.4TDV8 Autobiography Baltic Blue

Hello, yes, bleeding can only be done at the top plastic screw near the expansion tank. But as I said, it is very difficult to remove all the little nuts from the heat shield. On the left side in the direction of travel you have to remove the air filter box and the complete diesel filter in order to even find access to the parts. For me it was ultimately the valve on the other side where the fuse box is located, which can also be easily removed. Good luck !! L405 SDV8 2017 + Lancia Flavia Coupe 1964 + RRS L494 3.0 SDV6 + C220CDI Convertible 2021

It's the right side single solenoid valve I'm replacing, so hopefully not too difficult a job! 2011MY 4.4TDV8 Autobiography Baltic Blue
