According to JLR’s CEO the issue is fixed and insurance prices appear more reasonable than a year ago for most people.

when I purchased my approved used L405 I asked whether fitting a ghost would cause warranty issues and the response was a def no problem, crack on. Keyless off, ghost and an extra tracker, and a wheel lock and I can leave mine and feel pretty comfortable that in most places, there will be an easier target than mine First time FFRR owner |

I made enquiries of my home alarm people and I can connect my car to the house alarm. Any movements and the world is informed via central station.

The answer is it’s a personal decision based on your risk assessment and comfort required when leaving the RR parked wherever you park it. MY23 D350 HSE

Yes I agree but the point is that the L460 is now as theftable as any other car...the major issues are resolved! |

So you’ve answered your own question! No need for additional security or trackers even if they might reduce the cost of your insurance. Happy days. MY23 D350 HSE

You definitely do not need an aftermarket immobiliser on an L460, the number stolen in London, say, is tiny.

There’s a very clever cash saver. Unexpected by most car thieves. I was asking about the alarm for a friend…… ![]() Updated yesterday… The Volvo had a tracker , apparently impossible to take out ![]() He who dies with the most toys wins... |
