Not sure to be honest, I'm just really starting to listen for things if you know what I mean, I haven't driven it a lot yet. Lets assume it was....

First check I would do is make sure oil level is correct in gbox.

When the fluid is cold its high viscosity means it takes longer to return to the sump and, if the fluid level is low, the suction port in the filter may become uncovered allowing the pump to suck air momentarily. As dingg1 has already suggested, I would definitely check the fluid level first.
