Drivers Seat Fault

I have a fault on the drivers seat on my 2006 TD6. The drivers seat adjustment and memory switch only partly work, the seat will move forwards but not backwards, the large button to recline the seat does not work but the small one does, the memory position 1 does not work
I have scanned the car and the drivers seat module shows up error Ox0010 and states Error in Motor Drive Bridge

Can anyone throw any light on where to start looking to repair it

Thanks

I would suggest checking the large yellow connector under the seat - its easily removed to unplug and assess the condition of the contacts for any corrosion. The underside of the yellow connector has two tangs that if squeezed allow it to be pushed rearwards to separate it from its steel support bracket. You can then separate the plug/socket. Removing the side trim to access the switch pack there is a screw at the back of the panel (at the rear of the seat) and then the theory is that you swing it out from the rear to unclip it at the front - That's' my understanding. The trim panel is brittle so do this with caution and double check that my understanding is correct - there might be additional fixings but mine was already broken and cracked when I removed it so please be mindful!

I have the same model and not had any issues with the seat motor controls or memory. There are several connectors though on the back of the switch pack for the various controls so its possible one of them is either un-plugged or the cabling has got damaged if not routed correctly Current: 2003 TD6 HSE. 161,000 miles

Yellow plugs are airbag plugs and you should turn the ignition off and leave the car for some time before playing, can't see they will be your issue though.... Pete

Its not a yellow 'plug' its a 36 plus way double row connector with a yellow shroud - on 2002 to 2006 model I'm not aware of an airbag fitted to the drivers' seat but I'm happy to be corrected for safety concerns Current: 2003 TD6 HSE. 161,000 miles

You said yellow connector in the first post, if it's just the shroud then that should be fine... Thumbs Up Pete
