Changing the VIN isn’t a big deal and not very expensive.

I have spoken with Gap, and it seems that you can have a maximum of 8 VINs on a scanner (1 free, £80 per additional VIN), and after those 8 slots are filled, that's it, old VINs cannot be removed or replaced so the only option would be to go for a pro model which takes the cost from around £500 for a standard IID tool, to over £3k for a pro model - absolutely worth it if you're selling one a week i'd guess, but its a bit of a jump otherwise!
