Help disconnected optical now no sound no aux

Hi. I disconnected the optical cable entering the Bluetooth module.

I tried bypassing it with a bit of tube just to see if the radio would stop resetting itself. It didn’t seem to do anything and all I had was the Land Rover screen. Then I put it back together and now I have no sound

Not only do I have no sound from the radio option but I can no longer select CD, DVD or Aux.

Do I have to reset it? Is there something I’m missing here because I thought it would all turn on as normal.

Yes. I didn’t unplug it and I can’t see where it goes. I have a feeling it’s factory and for a piece of equipment that’s not on a 2006 vogue se.

using a factory made Car Fiber Optic Loop Connector MOST Network fits AUDI BMW MERCEDES PORSCHE would be useful, you can then test one piece of equipment at a time, could be the Bluetooth module at fault, could be something else

I picked up a bypass for the most.

I’ve unplugged the power connector to the Bluetooth and bypassed the fibre optic.

Still no sound.

What is the minimum the system needs to run?

Head unit, controller in dash but in the rear of the car what is essential? If I bypass everything except the amp should I expect it to work?

Could I have damaged the fibre optic cable?

I had sound, it all worked but the head unit kept restarting. So pulled the fibre optic but putting it back I have no sound and the head unit still resets.

I think it would be wise to test one device at a time, and see if optic light is on at every point in the chain, something in your fibre connected MOST device chain is playing up

see the graphic above, it goes in a clockwise direction - Device 1 to Device 9 ( the ampflifier) in a fully working MOST fibre ring

I GOT IT WORKING.

Unplugged everything went through the MOST, bypassed everything in turn. Tried the self test.

Nothing worked.

I decided to pull the battery for a few minutes and put it back on and that fixed it.

So I’m back where I started. TV tuner had been ditched out already- that’s what that connector was in the photo I posted above-

So basically like many IT problems it just took turning it off and on again to fix.

I still have the original issue where the head unit restarts every few minutes.

You might have a dirty fibre end connection, which is why the AHU ( Audio Head Unit) keeps resetting itself, try to clean each connection along the route with lint free wipes or some isopropyl alcohol, it must be very clean for the fiber optic light signal to operate correctly along the route.
