DPF issues

Hey all

Was cruising along on a long run end of last week and suddenly had the “DPF full go to dealer” come up and car went straight into limp mode. No warnings around needing a regen and regularly do 45 minute drives at 60-70mph.
Managed to get it to my local indie and had the following fault codes..

The bottom one I’ve always had and has had no impact of car, but the top 3 are obviously related to my current issue. They’ve completed a forced regen which has got rid of the 3 top codes but the worry is what caused the car to not do auto regen, and will I just get the same problem in a few miles. They are going to complete a smoke test to check for any pressure issues.

Any other thoughts or people that have had similar issues and discovered a cause?

Cheers in advance. 2010 Range Rover 4.4TDV8 Autobiography Black Edition

it has the turbo drain mod?

did the Indy measure the senor live signals post the regen see if they are within range? could just be a pressure differential created by sensor failure. that would happen quickly hence no wng for dpf getting blocked. ie senor failed and dpf was actually ok soot level wise.

or a leak between sensors. Cheers

James

It’s not had the turbo drain mod. I’ve not had any smoke out the back at any time.
Not sure on whether the levels were measured. I would have thought so.
She’s driving fine now the regen has been complete. 2010 Range Rover 4.4TDV8 Autobiography Black Edition

as was mine when i got it, worked a treat. until it started burning oil from turbo and dumping soot in dpf. mind you that was 2016! turbo mod sorted the problem.

for yours though i would question why it did it.

Two good people around you. Auto Solutions (POC Paul De Bono) and Erme Valley Autos. both excellent on diagnostics rather than just part replacement. Cheers
